Aitchison College Celebrates its 139th Academic Day

Accolades Abundant
On Saturday, 22nd February 2025 Aitchison College celebrated its 139th Academic Day in the Amphitheatre. The occasion was graced by the exalted presence of the Chief Guest of the Supreme Court, Honourable Yahya Afridi, a prominent school alumnus. The programme commenced with a note of spirituality, as one of the students recited the holy verses from the Quran. The worthy Principal Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain read a comprehensive Annual College. He enumerated the college’s illustrious achievements and touched upon the future plans. He lauded the teachers and students for producing exceptional results and faring remarkably well in all fields: academics, sports and co-curricular. The Honourable Yahya Afridi in his touching speech, nostalgically recalled his exciting school days and mentioned how Aitchison shaped him into a fine gentleman. Then came the most anticipated moments of the event. The Principal announced the most coveted medals of the year. These distinctions went as such:

  1. Muhammad Abdul Muqeet won the medal of the Outstanding Boarder
  2. Muhammad Abdullah Qaiser was adjudged as the Outstanding Day Boy
  3. General Umar Hayat Khan Tiwana medal was fetched by Syed Muneer Ahmed
  4. Rayan Wasey Iftikhar claimed the Spirit of Aitchison medal
  5. Muhammad Allawal Jamal was decorated with Syed Ali Dayan Hasan Medal
  6. President’s Medal was earned by Amaan Yasser Effendi
  7. Mian Muhammad Khalid Rehman earned the second best Jubilee Medal
  8. And the most sought-after medal, the dream of every Aitchisonian, Rivaz Medal was realised by Ayaan Waqar, our Head Boy.

In the end, the worthy Chief Guest had a group photograph with the Outgoing Bach of HSC 2. With the singing of the School Song and the National Anthem, the function ends leaving behind the most cherished memories.
