Captain of Riding Shapes Competition New Ground

For the first time ever in the history of Aitchison College, we conducted trials for lemon cutting & rings and pegs from which a team of boys was selected. These are international disciplines of riding and compulsory categories for international tent pegging events around the world. All boys regardless of their class in senior school were first given a short training by our coach Nigah Hussain under the supervision of our Riding department Head, Ahmad khan Saab.

Following this the boys participated in a fierce competition from which a team has been selected to participate in hopefully future international discipline tent pegging competitions in the future. The boys who did not get selected but performed well in the trials will continue to train with the selected team and those who are seen fit will also be added to participate in the future competitions.

The trials were a great success and it is a great opportunity for Aitchison to now focus on international tent pegging disciplines so that our students are not only able to cement their names within the walls of Aitchison but also outside it bringing honour to our institution.

Captain of the Riding Team, Humza Tariq Saadat.

Aitchison College Volunteers Ignite Underprivileged Children's Passion for Learning

The Aitchison College Humanitarian and Environmental Society, in partnership with the Parwarish Charity Foundation and Sunbeam Schools, conducted a successful educational event for underprivileged children. Volunteers taught math, science, and encouraged poem recitation. The engaging sessions turned learning into an adventure, with active participation and discussions. A quiz identified standout students for a Poem Recitation Competition, nurturing their skills. These efforts instilled confidence and a love for learning in these young minds.

Aitchison College Students Visit Shelter of Trust Orphanage

The Aitchison College Humanitarian and Environmental Society and the Islamic society Visited Shelter of Trust Orphanage near Kalma Chowk on Wednesday 11th of October where they conducted various activities. Volunteers not only taught education in areas of science in line with the orphanage's educational curriculum but also various co curricular activities including public speaking.

The students did not only that but also played various sporting activities with the children. These included:

1) musical chairs

2) cricket

3) pakran parai

In science the volunteers covered the following topics:

  • To understand “What is space?”
  • To understand our own solar system
  • To recall and understand the concept of gravity
  • To recognise planets in our solar system using images
  • Understand how orbits work

To sum it up the activity was a great success and we were able to fill the children's faces with smiles and was a great way for our volunteers to learn empathy for the underprivileged and that we all are equal and they are a detrimental part of our society.
